Okay, so, today when I began working on my visual, I realized I have misplaced my memory card, which has been in my wallet for a month, up to the point when I actually need it. Are pictures really required on the visual? My visual is my heater with my mid-term graph and my flyer. Since I actually have the heater itself, do I really need pictures?

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a super start to 2013!

Stuff to remember:

1. Speeches start tomorrow! For your speech, you will need your speech on note cards, your visuals (for both research part and product part), and practice sheet completed.

2. Tile decorations start tomorrow! Remember the day you signed up for and bring $2.00!

3. Letter to my teacher is due by the 11th. See your handout for all the details.

Tomorrow's class will begin very quickly--I will need 2 volunteers to act as judges and we will begin speeches about 5 minutes in to class. So, if you need to talk with me about anything, you will need to see me before class starts.

About your speech

So, you are writing your speech this weekend and you will be graded on whether or not you can deliver an 8 minute speech tomorrow.

Instead of putting it on note cards, go ahead and type up a transcript for your speech (like your mid-term speech transcript). Then tomorrow you will be paired up with someone who will time your speech.

Also, tomorrow is the LAST DAY TO BRING IN A GIFT OR $$ FOR OUR CHRISTMAS FAMILIES!

We got 3rd. Obviously, there was some flawed judging! I mean, who else had brownies? Who else had 25 tiny elves? Who else had a naked Beowulf?!?

Our door is the true winner!

I'm super proud of our door and all the effort everyone put in to it! Hopefully it will stay in tact through the holidays!

Even though we technically didn't win, we know ours really was the best! :)

Seriously, it's probably my favorite thing in the 10 years that I've been teaching.
